The Shenandoah Valley Amateur Radio Club was formed by a small group of charter members in the year 1948. The club has prospered through the years due the dedication of its founders and members. We are an ARRL Affiliated Club and we are one of the very few clubs with a long history of public and emergency services to our community.

We own our own clubhouse thanks to the selfless contributions made by the membership and fundraising events. Our single objective is to promote Amateur Radio in general and to fulfill our obligations to public and emergency services through our many working committees.

We expect loyalty to the organization and dedication to its objectives by all members with an emphasis on "what one can do for the organization rather than what the organization can do for one". Any conduct or act by an individual that has a detrimental effect on the Club or its membership is grounds for dismissal.

If you would like to join the S.V.A.R.C., download a copy of the membership application form in PDF format, fill it out, and bring it to a club meeting. Your application will be read to the club when you are present at the meeting the first time, and after a second reading at the next meeting the club members present will vote on your membership to join.
